Dr. Chris McMahan is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences at Clemson University. He completed his bachelor's degree majoring in mathematics, minoring in physics, at Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN. He then earned a master's degree in mathematics at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky followed by a doctoral degree in statistics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. After completing his PhD, he joined Clemson University as an assistant professor, and was recently promoted to the rank of associate.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he also consults with Biorealm and serves as a Visiting Professor at BINUS University. His research interests include, but are not limited to, categorical data analysis, group testing, survival data analysis, nonparametric methods, measurement error models, spatio-temporal modeling, statistical computing, Bayesian parametric/nonparametric estimation, high dimensional regression techniques, epidemiology/public health, biomedical applications, and machine learning.
